This is the computer generation, but sit back and watch. You will see a hunt & peck typing method with almost all of today’s students as they have not been properly trained. The Common Core Standards offer another major challenge: the new assessment is online.

Why is this assessment a challenge? Our current curriculum does not provide for computer keyboarding skills to be taught to our students. A basic skill that will be learned with our instruction will help your student succeed tremendously during an online assessment. This is why the iType program is critical to their success while we all experience the challenges of a new curriculum.
